VICTORIA JARVIS MAPS

ABOUT
At the age of 7, Victoria Jarvis documented her love of maps in the above note she titled “a story for when I grow up.” As it turns out, she did grow up into a map maker of sorts.
Fast forward 30 years where she found herself in graduate school pursuing a master’s degree. While completing her program, she studied wilderness campsite impacts using geospatial analysis. Her studies resulted in simultaneously completing a graduate certificate in GIS alongside her master’s in Natural Resources. Currently she works for the non-profit Society for Wilderness Stewardship, making maps (among many other things!) that support various federal wilderness management projects.
